The Paraparaumu Rotary Art Show: Labour Weekend 2019

On the rocks, Chloe King
Over 300 art works by New Zealand artists are on show each year. Local artists in the Wellington Region are particularly encouraged to enter. You will also see fine art works from invited guest artists, both local and from further afield. Over 2,000 people attend the show.
Prize money is sponsored by local business for 14 different classes of art.
The Show has been run by the Rotary Club of Paraparaumu every year since 2003 and so far over $100,000 has been raised to promote the fine arts and other good causes in the Kapiti Coast area.
Preview
The Show is opened at the Preview and Prizegiving on the Friday before Labour weekend. This gala evening is a ticket-only event where all the prizewinners are announced, prizes are handed out by sponsors, and the artworks are immediately available for sale. Complimentary drinks and nibbles are served. About 200 people attend the Preview. This year our sponsors Newstalk ZB are represented by emcee Rob Webb on Friday 25 October in the main foyer of Southwards.
